ABOUT THIS MINISTRY
Victory Jill, Inc. is a Texas 501(c)3 non-profit corporation and Christian pastoral counseling ministry. The goal of this ministry is to ease the emotional pain and suffering of humanity through Christ-centered counsel founded on biblical standards, equipping people to deal with life challenges and helping people to develop healthier relationships, marriages, and families through a better understanding of themselves, God, and each other.
Our vision is to be an extension of the church, to provide pastoral counseling services in our community that will assist churches not yet equipped to offer pastoral counseling services, and to assist churches during seasons when the demand for pastoral counseling services may exceed their capacity to meet that need, as well as offering pastoral counseling to those who may no longer feel comfortable with a church or do not prefer to share about their problems with a pastor or counselor on staff at their church but are seeking counseling from a biblical perspective.
Donations to this ministry are tax deductible. If you would like to help financially support the operations of this ministry, a donation can be made here through PayPal. Please be sure to include an address where we may send a tax deductible donation receipt, if desired.

OUR BELIEFS
We believe that the Bible must be the foundation of every therapeutic method. The application of these standards of faith and conduct demonstrates a respect for and value of every person as being created in the image of God. We make no attempt, however, to impede the God-given privilege of every individual to interpret scriptural foundations according to their own denomination, faith group, or personal perspective. The following is a general description of our own interpretation and understanding of Scripture:
GOD, JESUS CHRIST, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that there is one true God, who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. He is the Creator of the universe. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He was born of a virgin as both God and man, lived a sinless life, died in our place on the cross as a sacrifice for the sins of mankind, was buried, arose bodily from the grave three days later to demonstrate His power over sin and death, ascended into heaven, and will return to earth again one day as the King of kings. We believe that the Holy Spirit is the divine helper, assistant, counselor, and instructor. The purpose of the Holy Spirit is to make us aware of our need for Jesus Christ, convict us of sin, lead us to repentance, guide us in doing what is right, comfort, strengthen, and sanctify the soul. He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He enables Christians to live holy, loving, and productive lives that glorify God and bear much fruit. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
THE BIBLE, REPENTANCE, AND SALVATION
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, without any error, and is the sole authority for life and faith. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. We believe that all issues should be thoroughly evaluated through the grid of Scripture and that Scripture always holds the final authority. We believe human beings are the special creations of God, made in His image. They fell through the sin of the first man, Adam, and all human beings are sinners in need of salvation. We believe repentance means to turn away from what the Bible calls sin. The Bible says in Romans 3:23 "for all have sinned." Repentance means that, with God's help, we stop doing what the Bible calls sin and our behavior changes. Everyone can be forgiven for sin by repenting and asking God for forgiveness. We believe salvation is a free gift of God that we receive by faith when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ to forgive us can anyone be saved from the penalty for sin, which is eternal death. Every person who is saved is eternally secure in the Lord Jesus Christ and will spend eternity in heaven, while those who die without Christ will spend eternity in hell forever separated from God by sin. Eternal life begins the moment we receive Jesus Christ as our Savior by faith.
CHRISTIANS AND THE CHURCH
We believe a Christian, also referred to as a believer, is anyone who has repented of their sins and put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ by asking Him to be Lord of their life. Every believer in Jesus Christ has direct access to God through the Lord Jesus Christ in prayer and by reading the Bible. We believe the church is a local body of believers with the Lord Jesus Christ as the head. And we believe in the importance of the church for worship, service, missions, encouragement, and growth of its members.
WATER BAPTISM AND SPIRITUAL GIFTS
We believe baptism in water is an act of obedience by a willing Christian and that this act identifies us with Jesus Christ. It represents the cleansing from sin that comes when we put our faith in Jesus Christ. We believe spiritual gifts are supernatural abilities the Holy Spirit gives believers. These gifts include the message of wisdom, a special word of knowledge, great faith, the power to heal, power to perform miracles, the ability to prophesy, the ability to discern if something is from the Spirit of God or another spirit that is not of God, the ability to speak in unknown languages referred to as tongues, and the ability to interpret those tongues. These gifts always glorify Jesus and build up the church. The Holy Spirit alone decides which of these gifts each person should have and when.
